Farming/Packing House Analyst
Mahi Pono is seeking a Farming/Packing House Analyst responsible for providing operational and financial analysis on the operations surrounding the newly installed citrus line, to include all financial and non-financial information available from the delivery of the fruit from the fields in field bins from the farming harvesting team, until the packed and boxed fruit pallets leave the facility. This position will also regularly track field crews and placements to ensure farming activities have a meaningful impact on proper cultivation, crop agronomic health, and maximum yield and revenue. In addition, will set performance metrics and prepare farming activity reports which will be used by company management to make decisions about labor placement and crop costs. Responsible to help achieve maximum effectiveness of farming activity through data collection, analysis, allocation of overhead labor resources, and interpretation to help design data warehouse functionality and reporting. Must possess 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Agronomist
Mahi Pono is seeking an Agronomist responsible for overseeing and optimizing agronomic practices in the large-scale commercial production of citrus, coffee, macadamia nut, and avocado. The role involves conducting soil and leaf tissue sampling, leading applied research trials, supporting USDA Research efforts, and providing scientific updates to direct managers. This position plays a key role in training and developing teams within agronomy to ensure a collaborative and communicative work environment. Production Manager
Mahi Pono is seeking a Production Manager responsible for hiring, training, and/or supervising farm workers or contract for services to carry out the day-to-day activities of the orchard health maintenance. This position shall supervise and review irrigation scheduling, crop nutrition, cultivation, and harvest timing. In addition, will scout crops and identify pests, including collaborating with PCA to make recommendations for treatment. Must have 2-5 years experience in an agricultural-related field.
