Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager, Citrus Juice & Oil

Mahi Pono is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager, Citrus Juice & Oil. The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager, Citrus Juice & Oil position owns the food safety and quality systems for our new citrus juice and essential oil production lines. This role is responsible for building those systems from the ground up: the Juice HACCP plan and preventive controls, process and pasteurization validation, product specifications and sampling plans, sanitation and environmental monitoring, in-process and finished product testing, and certification and audit readiness for the new line. The role partners daily with the Operations Manager, Citrus Juice & Oil, along with maintenance, sanitation, the citrus packing operation that supplies raw fruit, and research and development. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive quality assurance experience in food or beverage processing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or quality management role; juice, beverage, or essential oil experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of FSMA, Juice HACCP, Preventive Controls, along with FDA, USDA, and state health department requirements applicable to juice and oil production. Demonstrated experience preparing for and passing third-party audits such as SQF or BRCGS; SQF Practitioner and internal auditor training strongly preferred. Understanding of citrus-specific processing methods and the quality attributes they drive (e.g., cold-pressed extraction, enzymatic clarification, evaporation and concentration, essential oil recovery and winterization). The Financial Analyst works alongside the Senior Financial Analyst, who owns the company’s core planning and investment models, and is responsible for keeping the underlying data, reporting, and recurring analysis accurate and on schedule. The role also partners directly with operations, agronomy, ranch, and administrative managers, building working knowledge of each business unit and serving as their day-to-day finance contact. Mahi Pono is seeking an Agronomist to oversee and optimize agronomic practices across our large-scale commercial production of different crop varieties. This role will conduct soil and leaf tissue sampling, lead applied research trials, and support USDA Research efforts, providing scientific updates to direct managers. This role serves as a local expert on crop inputs, technology, and innovation, advising field teams on crop management, pest control, fertility strategies, and disease prevention to maximize yields and ensure healthy crops from planting to harvest.
